Fond Farewell and Native Looks

I apologize for this post being late for the hairs. RL and our internet seem to be against me lately. But here they are! Adoness, once again the hairs are gorgeous! And pairing them with Lumae’s newest fantasy skin tones, I had to do a couple different characters. The dress they are wearing is one that I am working on and will be releasing on my kid avi in one of her new stores coming soon (Curtain Call). I used the hud to tint the colors to better match the skins an hair but am thinking I will need to add some fantasy colors now.

So, I’ve been putting off this decision for a while, because I genuinely love making my fantasy looks and stories. However with this no longer being my main avatar and me starting two small clothing stores and a dance team along side SL kid school and RL work. I’m finding myself so busy I don’t notice I haven’t blogged in a long time until I see a sponsor pack go out. So for now I am going to put my blog on hold until such time that I have more free time or until I miss it so much I make more time for it consistently.

I will continue taking photos of course, but they will be more family and dance orientated. I’m not sure I will upload them or not, if I do they will be posted on my kid avi’s flickr. If I do some that fit in with Lilli’s fantasy story / artsy photos I will post them on her flickr. 🙂

Thank you to all of you who have followed me, every view was a lovely surprise and the comments even more so! ♥ I won’t be deleting this blog, because I have a feeling I will miss it tremendously and come back to it when I can.

Feeling Sporty

Hey guys! Wanted to show you Adoness’ new release at Genre. 🙂 It comes in six colors each with their own team name and is only 100L each while at the event. I also wanted to show you a dance I choreographed on my new main avi, the purple haired girl. Sorry I forgot to write down her credits, I’ll try to add them soon.

Also wanted to share my excitement over some recent awesome news. Lilli isn’t my main avi I play anymore, I use her mostly for blogging and some fun events or shows. I play a kid on my new main, sometimes 4 and sometimes 14. On her I am working on getting a dance troupe started, have about 21 dances choreographed and 5 or 6 sets made. I’d love to recruit some more people interested in being a part of a dance group. So far it is me, my mom, my sis and possibly 2 others.

It’s a mixed age group and the goal is to create family friendly shows. I’d love to find a couple of members who want to help with sets and choreography and maybe even costumes. I have started making a few outfits and have done the stages so far, but with more people helping we can do more shows. In the near future I’d like to open a venue and have one show monthly with a few viewings. If you or someone you know is interested you can contact me on Wyona Steamweaver for more information.

I recently applied to perform at SL 13th birthday event and just found out we got a spot! June 22nd at 6pm slt we are performing our first big dance show! Here is a sneak peak at one of the dances I have choreographed. 🙂

A Demoness’ Search

 Trista sighed as she heard the thump of books falling over followed by muffled cursing. She turned and holding onto the ladder carefully leaned back to straighten the books on the table. There was a dark blur as Carrnys was unburied.

“Tink’s titties Tris, why the devil are we in this dusty old shop?” Carrnys stood atop a short pile of books and put her hands on her hips.

 Trista turned back to the shelf and continued trailing her finger along the spines and glancing at titles as she said, “I told you Nys, this is the only shop in the city that carries a book on getting rid of a gargoyle.”

The imp flew over and sat on the shelf next to her giving her a smirk and saying, “Maybe that’s because most people don’t bring them to life.”

Trista glared at the imp. “I was trying to animate a book! how the hell was I to know you’d chose that exact moment to come flying by with a mirror of all things and redirect the spell?”

  Carrnys shrugged and swung her legs, “Why not just leave it be then? He keeps eating the bugs and keeps the bats away.”

“Because he also keeps eating the messenger birds, which means I keep having to replace them, both my own and other people’s. Not to mention he snores loud enough to wake the dead. Now help me find the book so we can get out of here, I’m starving.”

 Carrnys sighed and flew to the shelves on the opposite side.

I recently got the violin set of poses from Bauhaus Movement and they reminded me of one of my all time favorite musicians. Lindsey Stirling’s music video “Elements” inspired this photo, and I plan to do three more as well. I will be adding the video at the bottom of the post so that those who are curious can see what inspired me. The lovely dress is from the March round of We ❤ Roleplay. I saw it and immediately knew it was perfect for this picture. I went a bit more simple on this outfit, but I thought the Eclipse Chestpiece from Plastik was a nice addition to the outfit as well as their Muse Circlet. Then of course we have the gorgeous Blown Away Hair from Exile. 🙂

Oh and the scenery, well the clouds, I couldn’t find a location I like so I made one. 😀 I went way up in the air and made a blank white platform and then set down the Realistic Clouds particle emitter I got from Illusions. I was so happy with them! All I did then was play with windlights until I found one I liked. Once again – the photos are unedited except for cropping.

I really wanted to show more of the Red Light District prop from Exposeur. Luckily I came across this beautiful showgirl outfit on marketplace! I also got a few new things at the Skin Fair and wanted to start showing them as well. 🙂

Today I wanted to show off some of the great things I got from a few of my favorite stores. First off the prop I am posed on in the above picture is Exposeur’s Red Light District from the Whore Couture event. It has a lot of nice poses and I love the details on the mesh. My dress is from Razor and also from the Whore Couture event. I love how Razor puts so many options on their stuff. I can change the color and textures of the strings, arm piece, strap part in back, sheer part on back and the shirt itself. The last piece I wanted to highlight were the awesome barbed wire heels from MV. Below is a picture in better light with some closer ups. 🙂

Hello World!

Hello! I decided to start a blog that combined a few of my favorite things about Second Life. I have been a part of SL off and on since Nov of 2009. During that time I have done many things and met many people. The top three things I love to do will be what I concentrate on here. I love to create new looks, and often characters to go with them or create the look of a character I am writing about elsewhere. I love to explore SL! There are so many great places to see. Finally, I love taking photos and trying to make my photography better. I have worked at a couple of professional studios and taken pictures pretty much since my first day, but now I want to do it purely for enjoyment. If you stick around you will notice that often I am not completely human. I spend all day in RL being a human, SL is where I let my creativity come out and play. Neko, fairy, petite, demon, angel, dragon, faun, etc I love creating them! However, for my first post, I am in fact human. 😀 I recently found this great store, Neverwood, and wanted to show off some of its stuff. The top I am wearing from Neverwood comes with a hud that has 40 options for the button down shirt and 48 options for the t-shirt. There are 10 different jacket colors to chose from.

I went to Basilique and my inner bookworm demanded I do a photo in the comfy chair by the books that is in Harvey’s Bar. Then I went for a walk down by the shore and had to capture the beautiful sky.

Both pictures are unedited, as one of the challenges to myself is that I want to get better at straight SL pictures. So the only thing I did was crop them down a bit.
