The Lexi Project

Shopping, shopping, shopping oh my! I went to the Lexi Project knowing I was going to be spending quite a bit of money, but its for a great cause so I don’t feel bad about it at all! I decided to use a couple of my old prop sets from W. Winx & Flair that are changing rooms to show off multiple outfits. The event runs July 26-August 9, 2015.

“The Lexi Project, a collaborative fund-raiser event founded by Toxxic Rhiannyr & Heather Smithson, created to bring SecondLife brands together in hopes to raise money for one of our own, Lexi Zelin / Owner of AngelRed Couture. As many have probably by now heard, Lexi has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is in desperate need of funds to assist in paying her medical bills / expenses as she is unable to work. Lexi is only 28 years old, mother of one beautiful little girl and plays an important role within SecondLife by creating high quality, full permission mesh apparel, paving the way for many people in the virtual world to have the freedom of opening a store.” 

They have over 350 stores participating, each with 1-2 items out. Everything from skins to poses to furniture is being sold there. 100% of the proceeds are going to Lexi. Some stores are offering exclusive items or exclusive colors. As of the morning of August 1st they have currently raised roughly 2,000,130L = approx US$ 8,072.28.

I was more than happy to go and donate what money I could on my budget. I have quite a few of Lexi’s full perm mesh products and love them. I am not so great at making my own mesh so being able to buy affordable and great quality full perm mesh was a great option for me. Thank you for all you have given to our community Lexi and I hope your treatment goes well.

Little Red Wolf

As you may have noticed I like many styles. However Fantasy and Punk are definitely my favorites. 🙂 So here is my version of punk version of Little Red Riding Hood / Big Bad Wolf.

I didn’t want her to be a grungy punk so much as an elegant one. The jewelry and tattoo along with the hair I think helps with that. 🙂 Below is closeups so you can see all the wonderful details.

Today I wanted to show off some of the great things I got from a few of my favorite stores. First off the prop I am posed on in the above picture is Exposeur’s Red Light District from the Whore Couture event. It has a lot of nice poses and I love the details on the mesh. My dress is from Razor and also from the Whore Couture event. I love how Razor puts so many options on their stuff. I can change the color and textures of the strings, arm piece, strap part in back, sheer part on back and the shirt itself. The last piece I wanted to highlight were the awesome barbed wire heels from MV. Below is a picture in better light with some closer ups. 🙂

Hello World!

Hello! I decided to start a blog that combined a few of my favorite things about Second Life. I have been a part of SL off and on since Nov of 2009. During that time I have done many things and met many people. The top three things I love to do will be what I concentrate on here. I love to create new looks, and often characters to go with them or create the look of a character I am writing about elsewhere. I love to explore SL! There are so many great places to see. Finally, I love taking photos and trying to make my photography better. I have worked at a couple of professional studios and taken pictures pretty much since my first day, but now I want to do it purely for enjoyment. If you stick around you will notice that often I am not completely human. I spend all day in RL being a human, SL is where I let my creativity come out and play. Neko, fairy, petite, demon, angel, dragon, faun, etc I love creating them! However, for my first post, I am in fact human. 😀 I recently found this great store, Neverwood, and wanted to show off some of its stuff. The top I am wearing from Neverwood comes with a hud that has 40 options for the button down shirt and 48 options for the t-shirt. There are 10 different jacket colors to chose from.

I went to Basilique and my inner bookworm demanded I do a photo in the comfy chair by the books that is in Harvey’s Bar. Then I went for a walk down by the shore and had to capture the beautiful sky.

Both pictures are unedited, as one of the challenges to myself is that I want to get better at straight SL pictures. So the only thing I did was crop them down a bit.

I hope you will bear with me as I get the hang of this blogging thing. 🙂
